In my mind creativity is the art of being unique and thinking "outside the box" to solve problems, answer questions, or even just making decisions in everyday life.
Dictionary.com defines creativity as the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or imagination.
In my mind Travis Pastrana is one of the most creative people I have seen. It seems nothing is ever boring in his life. Whether it be his career in motocross/supercross, or freestyle motocross, or also his successful ongoing venture into rally racing. Pastrana has made a successful living at a young age of 25 and is financially set for life because of his creativity.

Today in class we constructed bases to hold as many books as possible out of only one sheet of paper. I used an octaganol shape with cross members within for added strength. But my design was quite unsuccessful only holding 8 books. The downfall of my design came from its height and lack of layering on its outside wall causing premature structural disaster. I learned from watching other people's fails and success's that strength comes from the amount of surface area underneath the books allowing the weight to disperse equally. This knowledge will help me in my further design of the cardboard chair that will have to hold a "small giant."
